Watching hurricane coverage from Lafayette, LA. I normally watch a station from Baton Rouge, but I think this one is closer to the area of most damage.

#Hurricane #Laura has sustained wind speeds of 150-155MPH. We may learn after the fact that it was indeed a Category 5.
Expecting ocean water to be up to 20 feet above normally dry ground and for the water to reach up to 30 miles inland.
This is probably one of the 10 biggest storms to strike the Continental US since tracking and measurement began. -

I never heard of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay_Jay_the_Jet_Plane before today. 1998-2005, so really targeted at a younger group than mine ( #Daddy_A, the youngest, was born in 1989 ).

Replacement is on-site and working. It is blowing directly at my bed. Also replaced the window fan with two box fans. Last night was the first time in a while that I had to partially cover myself, because the ~60F wind being pulled inside by the fan was too cool after being in 95F all day. -
