   @maiyannah The encryption is (as far as anyone can tell today) sound even with a centralised delivery system, assuming that fingerprints are verified (and not manipulated by the central authority).

     @maiyannah No, it just requires you to use a third party channel to verify the fingerprint. Which you should do anyway, because anyone else in between can MITM it.
