@mcscx I thought Group in GNU social is read-only. You cannot post to it. This is just a logical union of all messages by group members?!

@vinzv on the other hand !gnusocial doesn't have centralised hashtags, i.e. clicking #hashtag will only show posts of the poster's instance

@mcscx Sending to a Group, as you describe it, is very special: you have to tell your application explicitly, who's recipient of such a post. But you cannot find this recipient among message authors in your timelines/message lists.
Having a dedicated "Timeline" for the particular group may give a context (e.g. a group name) to post to the group...
