   If anyone wants to know how much super awesome work is being put into !gnome and related software (like GTK), follow @bastianilso who has so far mentioned several links to software development I didn't know was going on but I'm very glad to have learned about.

     Oh I'm perfectly happy with how it looks and works by default. It's only on my desktop machine I don't use Gnome Shell (too big a screen, I use #wmii to avoid moving a mouse cursor too much).
     
     But one of the things I like best is @gnome Maps which bases itself on OSM. And as far as happy !mappers go, I love getting a non-Google desktop app for maps ;)
