     there is also rstat.us but I don't know how alive that project is. Federation btwn !gnusocial & #rstatus didn't really work when I tried.

     No built in PuSH service should be a non-starter for everyone. Superfeedr is not an acceptable service. However, for the rubyists, there's also rstatus which uses Superfeedr for PuSH service.
