     @takeshitakenji Aliases don't federate. The intention is to make users maintain their own list of aliases. Like, you're part of three groups named !abc and you want to reference them by !localabc !remoteabc etc.

     @takeshitakenji Everyone who have wanted to do that before have been running their own nodes, so injecting stuff into the database has been the solution. That's of course not available for ordinary users. So we have to program a UI for it in !GNUsocial.
