@maiyannah Where does it say that quitter.se likes freedom? .P
(also, using freedom to inhibit others' freedom is bad, so that's what they're moderating for)

@simsa01 I'm not confusing things. Even if it's just speech or expression, uttering stuff will cause others to be affected by the statements. Some people may even be afraid to express themselves if there is someone else "setting the tone" to something one may be uncomfortable with.
The power to ignore is only with the ones who are already strong enough to take an active stand against the crap in the first place.

@simsa01 For example when you kept writing »GNU social "developers"» and implying that we didn't care about users or whatever, just because we couldn't put more of our free time into development for your specific needs, that was causing my motivation to drop radically and is why I blocked you for almost a year. It heavily affected my freedom even if it was just you talking out loud.

@nydel Regarding the "the silence of end-users usually means doing a good job", we can probably all get better at occasionally reminding other that what they do is good. I know I suck at it, both on and outside of the internet.

@maiyannah Yeah I didn't notice at first that the post was 11 days old ;)
