   @lnxw48 I'm not sure what the FBI's urgency is. The shooters are dead, brute forcing the phone's encryption won't apprehend them any faster.

     @lnxw48 And I'm OK with the agencies not offering to break phone encryption for fear of tipping their hand. Whether it's that or whether they can't break encryption, the results are the same -- phones stay encrypted.
