@mariotaku thank you for your work on #twidere despite you say it's not primarily made for !gnusocial :)
- MMN-o ✅⃠ repeated this.

@mariotaku I don't mind changing the API to more closely match Twitter's, to ease the migration for any client developers. The backend's a big mess and I think it's better if I rewrite + fix the expected endpoints instead of you trying to adapt yourself to what probably just exists since it's been there forever. :]
If you run into any expected behaviour, let me know and I'll fix it asap!

@mmn @mariotaku This - of course - is true for Friendica as well. We will do every needed change to make the Friendica API more compatible to the Twitter API, if that eases your development.

Pinging me about small things is usually the fastest method though (feel free to both publish an issue and ping me here about it).

And even more, StatusNet explicitly published it's extentions to that legacy API. I…

@andstatus Our guide is the Twitter API but yeah you're right that we need some fixes which are specific for the !fediverse. I'd suggest discussing this to get a consensus but I'm personally distracted for the next couple of days at least :)
