   @mmn question !gnusocial : How to stop the imdaemon – startdaemon.sh seams to start it – but I haven’t set up XMPP plugin in config.php ?

     stopdaemons.sh should stop it, but I'm not sure why it would start up without any IM stuff being enabled.

     @hikerus No, but I'm not really sure why it would start in the first place. For now maybe you can just 'kill' it manually or debug to answer the main question :]

     Yeah, there's something odd about that !XMPP plugin. And the upstream library is pretty dead.
