Now (finally) I have cut off ties with the #gmail.com !xmpp server (server to server encryption is required).

I had done it before actually, but needed to contact someone... but haven't done that in some months now. So might as well just forget gmail XMPP ever existed.

@kzimmermann I'll have to note of course that I haven't had a google account myself for a year or two. This was only related to people in my roster ;)

@yvolk I only avoid their lock-in spy disservices such as YouTube, Gmail, Play etc.
There's no reason to avoid !fs tools if Google provides them under a libre license and don't require third party disservices to function.

@kzimmermann Google provides kernel patches to Linux. Are you going to stop using Linux? ;)
