    Oh no, AVG has become evil. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/09/21/avg_freemium_browsing_history_slurp/ They were the anti-virus app I recommended to Windows users, and I was a multi-PC subscriber of their suite for years (until I finally switched off my last Win box).

      @ericxdu23 Yes, I've used ClamAV to scan clients' Windows computers by booting them with Linux on a USB drive. Handy, and a guaranteed clean boot.

      @rudism Alarming. But you're right, for the last few years I've made non-commercial clients rely on MS's own AV. Commercial clients have all had commercial AV suites over which I've had no say.
