Very early on Stallman wanted Debian to be the flagship free distro. But they got tired of him telling them what to do. It's free to me. -

The non-free repos are not enabled by default. Good enough for me, but not for the FSF. -

You don't have to disable them. They are already disabled. You have to enable them to use them. -

No. There is nothing to remove. Unless you want to physically remove all the packages from the servers worldwide. That might cause trouble. -

You enable non free repos by editing a configuration file and adding them. So if you didn't know how to do that the distro would be FSF free -
