Q1. Do you see that "Attach / paperclip " on my screenshot in the previous message? It's to the right of the "envelope-".
Q2. If you still don't see "attach+" button on your device, please check "Settings -> Attachments -> Display attached images". That checkbox should be checked.

Rename / add more words to "Display attached images" setting. Actually it is for downloading attached images, displaying attachments and for attaching them. Attachments were not downloaded to your device…

I also use small smartphone Sony XPeria Z3 Compact with Android 5.1 - UI looks much nicer...
