Wait, what? Why is this petition not aimed at the #Unicode consortium who are the ones that actually decide on the standards? Apple is a mere pawn in the emoji game.

@inscius it is aimed at Apple, but it shouldn't be. And they had reached out to the Unicode consortium who said "we don't do colour" (which is semi-false since they are the ones who specified the control codes for skin attributes, while they are correct that those control codes might not exclusively mean what they are interpreted as in client apps)
