    There's this idea going around that #IQ doesn't matter for #sales people, and the (only) thing that sales people really need is "emotional intelligence". Let me tell you, as a customer: I find that to be COMPLETELY WRONG.

      I think the real reasoning is that it must be "sales_person.iq >= customer.iq" to be successful. Unfortunately, I would assume, the probability of a customer having a bad analytical skill is pretty high.
