   @jrm Seems to be the misconception that " UX and design are more important than protocols and formats." That's how you get modern, pretty, and completely incompatible web services. Sound familiar? Facebook, GooglePlus, LinkedIn. And even !GNUsocial !Pumpio !Diaspora and !Friendica, but at least there I have hope.

     @jrm Imagine if at the birth of the Internet they had designed E-mail or FTP or even TCP/IP on the principle of "UX and design are more important than protocols and formats."
