     @pelayo Hmm, no not immediately at least. Animated avatars would require a fix in source code for !GNUsocial. For generic uploads it is already there. (avatars get cropped and resized, can't do that without killing cpu for large GIFs)

     @mcscx @pelayo I agree about the annoyance of animated avatars and that's been a good demotivator for it too. But some instances maybe like annoying things (when importing to non-supporting instances it'd freeze on the first frame anyway).
