   @jonkulp I bought noise-cancelling headphones a few years ago to block the sound of my noisy cubicle neighbour's loud phone conversations. The noise cancelling worked really well -- no air conditioning noise, no paper shuffling noise, no fan noise from all the computers and printers. no hum from the light fixtures... all the better to hear my noisy cubicle neighour's loud phone conversations!
