   /me doesn't understand what WhatsApp is: "WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Android and Nokia." So, just like !XMPP, only closed and proprietary?

     @andrioid Now that #Facebook owns #WhatsApp there's no incentive for them to use any kind of !XMPP standard at all

     ‏♻ @andrioid: @BobJonkman What is the loss? Only useful for 3rd party clients for Facebook Chat anyway. We should focus on federating XMPP instead, imo.

     @andrioid Agreed, getting #Facebook to use federated !XMPP is best. But why spend 19 G$ on #WhatsApp if they're not going to use it?
