   I'm really not that desperate for mega drastic geek solutions. I would though really like to see more non techies on the !fediverse because I believe decentralized services and more !selfhost are the way to go, so this sort of thing needs to get fixed! @speeddefrost once said that federation seemed like an after thought/addon to !sn Somethings do definitely appear to be broken.

     @tuttle full ack. My proposal is nothing but a quick & dirty workaround, not a proper solution. (But will work for the time being)
