True, it is always better to solve the root problem, ie. not have outdated profiles in the first place. An automated way to update outdated profiles and delete non-existent accounts is second-best. But third-best is a UI for all tools and utilities that come with the software. Doing maintenance from the console is a poor fourth-best (unless it's a console application, of course).
