Joshua Judson Rosen (rozzin)'s status on Tuesday, 12-Nov-2013 09:29:21 EST Joshua Judson Rosen You think you're joking, @eniac. There was actually this software package called "Ram Doubler"...: http://status.hackerposse.com/url/2006 -

Joshua Judson Rosen (rozzin)'s status on Tuesday, 12-Nov-2013 15:42:44 EST Joshua Judson Rosen RAM Doubler seems to have worked similarly to Linux's #overcommit feature... but with out an #OOM handler.... -
Joshua Judson Rosen (rozzin)'s status on Tuesday, 12-Nov-2013 15:49:24 EST Joshua Judson Rosen Apparently #Linux now has this thing called #zRAM, also: http://status.hackerposse.com/url/4199 -

eniac (eniac)'s status on Tuesday, 12-Nov-2013 19:50:14 EST eniac @rozzin I think Connectix RAM Doubler did something similar to zram/compcache. There was also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SoftRAM which didn't actually work, as opposed to its competitor.
