   Thunderstorms and powerfailures killed the hard drive on the server. Sadly, it was already on the workbench, not plugged into a UPS. Happily, I added a new drive to the LVM, removed the old drives, played jiggery-pokery with grub, and it all came back. And since it was on the workbench to be replaced anyway, I did that too: New mainboard, extra RAM, more power CPU. Not a bad way to end August...

     Oh, and thanx to @chaslinux for supplying the extra RAM. Boy, that makes a big difference in the server!
