     It’s another federated social network. It does have more privacy settings than statusnet. You can also connect to facebook, twitter, diaspora, statusnet people with it as well.

     No, it doesn’t replace SN at all for me. I installed it out of interest and found it to be quite nice. I just have a habit of forgetting about it.
