   Ordered a 256GB SSD and 8GB of memory for my 3-year-old laptop. For <$300, I think it will stretch the lifetime of the machine.

     I considered a 500GB drive for twice as much, but I'm only using 115GB on the machine right now, so seems like 256GB is fine.
