@redi44 How is GNOME dead, and how is that a confirmation of such? -

@grdryn Bad developers decisions, poor technical solutions, web stuff mixed with desktop, only one dev fully working on GTK+ etc. -

@redi44 I'm not aware of how many people are paid to work full time on GTK+, but it looks active to me (w/ many devs) http://ur1.ca/cpbfq -

@grdryn : it is, Gnome is not dead as you said, maybe a short sleep but not dead, the version 3.8 promise good stuff (even if I prefer xfce) -

the fact is most people (as I) dislike the new look&feel adopted by Gnome in this 3rd version. They prefer Gnome2 look&feel. -

the "Unity"/"Ubiquity" side is sexy, of course, but maybe too restrictive -

@yareckon Not in my opinion, but that's only my opinion :D The good think in GNU/Linux envs is diversity, everyone can find a suitable match -

Some could say that this leads to fragmentation and fragmentation is definately not a good thing... (diversity != fragmentation) -

That's why I said "diversity" and "everyone can find a suitable match" -

Finally, Gnome3 is a good env but I don't like it for some reasons (and prefer xfec4) but others people certainly like it and it's normal :) -

@redi44 Looks like your Shift key is broken. But surprise, some people actually like Gnome Shell. -

@redi44 That's not the fact if GnomeShell is "normal" but the possibility of choice which is "normal". -

@lhofm Some people actually like Gnome Shell as others like KDE or another desk. env. :D Hurray for diversity and choice
