   !Statusnet I'm having serious problems with remote subscriptions to non-SN Ostatus software, including weird domain mixups. Can anyone help?

     One big problem I see is that there's not a good identity for remote subscriptions. Make sure <author> <uri> or <mailto> exists.

     Also, there's lots of spew in syslog if you look. Make sure debug output is visible.

     Ah, I should set up a test install of SN. I've just been using identi.ca so far.

     No problem, just got a test install up and running. I can't seem to subscribe to remote users though :|

     The problem is actually that there is no "remote subscribe" button :)

     Nope, I couldn't see it in the plugin settings despite it being in /plugins, but looks like I need to enable it manually in config.php

     ah hah! Sorted it. Fab, thanks. Now to finally figure out what remote subscription thing I'm doing wrong.

     Woah, loads of great debug data in syslog! This should sort things out, apart from the weird domain name mixup which I can't reproduce
