   I don't like "decentralized" because it has an overtone of dismantling something. I like "federated" because it's about joining together.

     @mlinksva otherwise I think "distributed", "decentralized", "federated social web" are several ways of saying the same thing.

     @mlinksva I've had some feedback that "federated" suggests a limited number of participants, some central authority. I disagree.

     @mlinksva There have also been some efforts at serverless networks; I think they're misguided, but whatever.
