My suspended Lenovo laptop periodically just dies (turns all the way off w/o clean shutdown). Hardware fail or !Debian?
-
I should add that this suspend problem is when the laptop is not plugged into power. There's enough battery, but that doesn't seem to matter
-
@passthejoe Maybe there's an option at bios. My asus has it, something like "allow power down when suspended" or similar...
-
Well, since the shutdown is not clean and the kernel has to go to the journal for orphaned inodes, something isn't working right.
-
@passthejoe my hp g62 also does that, but only if the wire is plugged out
-
Seemingly same I have a HP DV9700. No clean hibernation - only one of 30 times or so. Seems !Debian OS problem.

Normally it works fine.
