   Installed !debian testing. it is running GNOME 3. Not sure how I feel about this.

     @loug leave heavy #Gnome and try something like #Fluxbox #Openbox #AwesomeWM or other window manager :)

     I second this: use #fluxbox or #ratpoison instead of #gnome.

     I went #xfce with xubuntu instead. Debian just..doesn't like my Dell Inspiron 560. which makes me sad.

     did this turn into a veg thread? I went back to xubuntu. I have found I love xfce and I would like to be able to easily install things.

     I think I did, and the installer was actually more confusing than Debian.

     #LMDE #xfce is very easy to install and quite reponsive. But have to say that #Xubuntu just work on my #HTPC.

     I'll probably try again. I couldn't get it to work as a live, but maybe I'll try going straight to install.

     @loug Regular !Debian is install-only. The Debian Live project offers a live image. Not sure if they have Testing images at this point.
