   @Gargron Yeah. Btw, if you want you can simplify that <ostatus:conversation/> element to at a bare minimum have the ref="" (think thr:in-reply-to).
   
   href optional, textContent is just legacy crap. The <link rel="ostatus:conversation" should just be scrapped altogether>

     @gargron (but why not include it? it's not like it takes more than some nanoseconds extra and there's a semantic difference between a notice's alternate and a collection of posts).
     
     What would be best is to avoid that element altogether and try to find something else that means "here is how you tie all of a thread together despite not having the full picture").
