     I can configure xfce to suit my needs. I coudn't get Gnome 3 to do this - just found it frustrating and ugly.

     I'm still pinging between GNOME 3 and Xfce 4.8

     For some strange reason, my awful Alps touchpad's tap-to-click function works in GNOME 3 but not in Xfce 4.8 in Debian .

     #gnome3 I run it on virtualbox and occasionally check to see if changes. #xfce for last 2 years has been good for me
