     @verius If we're going to be pedantic, the proper terminology with firearms is "fire" or "discharge" the firearm, not "shoot" the firearm.  You are not discharging the firearm, at your own firearm.  To shoot something is to discharge a firearm at it.

     @verius Yeah, semantically-speaking, "shooting a gun" would be firing a gun at another gun.  Which you can absolutely do, but isn't usually what people actually mean.
