Something I've been trying to figure out for ages: can you get Thunderbird to NOT display spam mail as new mail? Because with the volume of spam I get in said folder its all noise and no signal with it marking the spam folder mail as new.

@bob Oh it's not catching them that I have issues with. I don't want Thunderbird to report them as "new" emails. I don't care about them.

@bob Even with the spam folder as entirely seperate from the inbox Thunderbird insists on reporting it as "new" mail for that account, and its vexing. I don't want to just /dev/null it because of the possibility of false positives.
