@gameragodzilla Well I would call it more a mash up of a western plot with sci fi more than anything. The whole Han Solo character is basically the morally ambiguous western protagonist, and then there's the whole frontier world thing.

@gameragodzilla Its one of the first games with a map big enough to probably legit call it "open world". And back in the mid 90s with the Doom engine too.

@gameragodzilla It was kind of a trope in sci fi at the time, but you never saw too many games made in that theme. I mean only Strife really comes to mind to me other than some REALLY obscure titles.
