I don't really care about ESO these days but it's a pretty shit move from a company that has positioned themselves as "progressive". Just goes to show so much of modern progressivism is hypocritical.

@gameragodzilla Well, they can't say that its because people were bothered by her remarking about her transition in zone chat and it turning into a shitshow for a couple of hours. @katiekats I can't speak for Nikki in particular, but a lot of them fall into it because HRT is expensive and there's a demand for that kind of, well as Nikki puts it "debauchery", so they go where the money is.

@katiekats I don't think most of them really hate it, if they did they wouldn't do it, but they don't like it either. For some of them though it's more a social anxiety thing. It becomes the one way they can 'fit in' so they do that to 'fit in'. That's a complex issue that's more than just trans attitudes or however you would put it, but the way trans people are treated is definitely part of it.

@katiekats There's some of that, definitely, though a lot of it is just more innocent if you can use such a word when you are refering to pornography essentially. People have fetishes. In a lot of ways the trans people that are open about that kind of thing with camming and stuff end up galvanizing some folk to them because they don't judge people for liking that kind of thing, when many others do.

@katiekats Well, anything that brings out the channers tends to have a part of it that are an unpleasant bit, but channers are a vocal minority of the internet.
A VERY vocal minority, mind.
I don't really mind your average channer (and indeed they ridicule their extremeist elements as much as we do, often more than we do) but the chans definitely have some serious degeneracy.
