I really don't like it when game devs only list game soundtracks as DLC for their game on Steam. I don't want to have to buy their game to buy their soundtrack. I mean, I should be able to support the parts of a game that I want to support, instead of being forced to buy both. If I like your soundtrack, let me buy it on Bandcamp or somethin'. Don't make me have to buy the game to buy the soundtrack.

@postmesmeric Im much more likely to buy the soundtrack on Bandcamp if they have the option personally. I almost never look at the DLC section on Steam for games.

@postmesmeric Pretty much.

@kevie @postmesmeric Generally speaking I am much more charitably inclined to give a musician money if they've made that kind of effort to make it easy for me to buy their music.

@kevie @postmesmeric Most I know don't care as long as you attribute and link them. But some get really catty about it.

@kevie @postmesmeric To be fair to them, some artists have licensing deals with their labels that do not allow them to give that kind of permission to you, which is shitty.
Others just are possessive and/or sods about it, though.
