Thing I'm resolving not to do anymore: I am not Mastodon.social's welcome mat. If they can't bother to explain Federation to their users, I'm not going to. He gets paid to develop that thing, he can earn that money. I'm doing this shit for free in my spare time with the occasional donation.

@inmysocks I try really had not to come off as bitter but I have to say it's quite frustrating to be developing my own federating software as an essential volunteer effort driven only by the occasional small donation and end up essentially playing customer service for someone getting paid a couple hundred a month to develop another piece of software for which I am not responsible.
