@takeshitakenji Evan Prodromou was the original creator of both StatusNet and Pump.io, I think he was hoping to leverage Identi.ca's userbase to grow his new attempt at the protocol but since it broke federation basically what he ended up doing was splitting the userbase.

@takeshitakenji There was actually a Bridge instance which did this, it's one of the ones that went poof, though.

@takeshitakenji I actually intend to see if the code used in that instance was in the pumpio codebase, because if it is, it's an easy refactor into a FederatePumpio module.
