@sklaing @lambadalambda If you can find a job that is willing to employ you contingent on citizenship, that's pretty much a sure-fire way in as long as it has a contract period. For what it's worth.

@sklaing In retrospect reading that back I made it sound like its easy or something and no, it isnt easy finding a job in this economy, but I just mean in terms of applying for citizenship, the big thing coming into Canada is a fear that you're just coming here to bum on the welfare system, so if you have a job lined up, the rest tends to be just a matter of clearing the security checks.

@sklaing The center I go to for support over my prosthetic has an immigration consulting service, and if you like, I don't mind getting their information next time I go down there. I wouldn't want to impose though.

@sklaing The place I go to for disability coverage for the prosthetic and the physiotherapy is kind of an central place for several social services such as immigration support and job seeking. Don't want to promise I'll find anything of use in case I don't, but I certainly don't mind looking!
