    @cphuntington97 @nds Pure popvote would mean campaigns (and positions on issues) would target the top 20 or 30 urban areas, not even full states. So if you lived over 90 miles away from Los Angeles or over 40 miles away from Kansas City, you wouldn't exist. I'm not even sure #Baton_Rouge would matter.

      @nds Well, if you campaign in Chicago, you talk about issues that are important to those voters. If you go to Kansas, you talk about a different set of issues. Also, helps that stances on some issues vary with location because candidates need to be pushed away from extreme viewpoints on those issues.
