@nerthos In Canada these sections have a fold-down seating bench thats the same as any other seating bench, just foldable. So normally it's just another seating area, but if you have a disabled person in a wheelchair, it can become the wheelchair area. Everyone wins.

@nerthos That actually looks a lot like the ones we have here except in that section with a handbar would be seating along the wall you can fold up and the panels on either end have these things you can secure the wheelchair to that I'm not sure how to describe.

@nerthos Agreed. Seems strange not to do it the way they have here but I guess that probably costs more money.

@nerthos Pretty ghetto looking if you ask me

@nerthos The plastic/vinyl seating always comes off as tacky to me, not the least of reasons why being it is very cheap, rips easy, and gets really dirty really quick.
-
@nerthos The ones here just use a carpet like fabric, I find it more comfortable and its generally easier to keep clean.

@purplehippo @nerthos This looks like those "posh" busses in London which actually end up looking the most shit out of all of them.

@nerthos In both cases you can get both good quality and bad quality of those materials but here the fake leather (polyvinyl) seats were always really ratty ones.
