   @takeshitakenji The majority of market share for these devices as of 2013 (last numbers I have to hand) are IBM Unix, Windows CE, Windows XP, and CentOS (in that order with IBM Unix being the largest though not by a large margin).  Everything else is in the single digits.

     @takeshitakenji Incidentally, this is why the XP service contract for enterprise got expanded.  People didn't want to redevelop and redeploy new software to literally millions of kiosks, ATMs, and so forth.
