@bob Yeah I never really understood the point of Trisquel. The idea from FSF with most of their certification stuff is that you shouldn't be able to _accidentally_ run proprietary source code. And that's pretty hard to do with Debian anyway. Also I didn't understand why they'd based Trisquel on Ubuntu rather than Debian, upon which Ubuntu is based anyway ;)

@mikegerwitz Ah, so it's mainly that the community hosts the non-free repositories that makes Debian impure.
That sort of makes sense, but if one compares it with hardware manufacturing a certain device wouldn't be FSF-certified if the company which produces it also made even just a single proprietary accessory that was sold on the side. :]

@rgggn That might be true. All I know is I have to enable non-free to use the wifi on some machines.
