@maiyannah I noticed just earlier this week that the hype around Telegram is super extremely lame. Because they don't encrypt by default it's more than likely that users leave their unencrypted messages in the hands of the centralised service and its "partners".

@maiyannah I don't understand why it's a choice at all. They, just as Moxie over at Signal reasons, have the easy position of being in 100% control. Whatever they do, they can control - even forcing encryption on people and making it seamless (as opposed to a decentralised service where you have to comply with others' world views).
