here's what I have learned. With the Alfresco docker-compose.yml, you must use 'docker-compose stop'. You can't stop individual containers. I suspect this is common place. However, you can also not use 'docker-compose restart' after stopping. This will leave nginx not knowing where to send traffic (504...probably something in the docker networking stack, but who cares, right?) … -

back on the #Alfresco train...which might be the #docker train. something weird was happening, so I blew it all away. We will see if the new stuff has the same issue. -

I can tell you for sure that not all Perforce software interacts seamlessly.
In any case, the Zuul issue turns out to be a political one for now. My suspicion is this is resolved as far as I am concerned, but we shall see. -

So, the real question, it turns out, is how those interact with #SpringBoot -

anybody know how #Zuul and #Hystrix interact? If a job is completing, just slowly, it doesn't seem like a timeout would be the issue. -

this mainframe talk is pretty bad. I think the speaker has a fan on the mic. I would leave except we actually do work on mainframes, so yeah. 4 minutes until the next speaker... -

I've joined the Fediverse August 2008 as @Tobias Diekershoff, after a report in one of Germans IT-News portals. I never was on Twitter before, but had a, more or less dormant, Facebook account. Microblogging was fun, in contrast to organizing study groups at FB ;-) and when Laconica (the software that ran http://status.hackerposse.com/url/155… -

"We wanted an installation of Kubernetes that was half the size in terms of memory footprint. Kubernetes is a 10-letter word stylized as K8s. So something half as big as Kubernetes would be a 5-letter word stylized as K3s. There is no long form of K3s and no official pronunciation."
um, obviously, k3s = Kates -

this #linux (kernel) security fix talk is a big yikes. Speaker said it is going to go up on YouTube.
That said, it only applies if you are pulling your kernels from kernel.org -

as with pretty much everything saying "X is happening in the USA" is just a false statement on the face. The country is too big. Houston has obviously not done a good job. Florida has obviously not done a good job. Even if you extrapolate Houston to Texas (which is dumb), you still have 48 states. But the ICU bed thing is another one of those statements that is false on its fac… -

I was asked to promote this with customers, but the thing is, I don't know any of our customers...I mean, I know the names of companies, but I doubt sending an email to contact@company.com is really going to do much good.
