the video at https://www.perforce.com/company/our-culture tells a different story, but as of the 2010 census, Minnesota was 85% white. You definitely see that in the Minnesota office.
Most of those videos were taken in the Minneapolis office, but some of them were taken in the California office.
Fun fact: "From the 19th century until about 1950, Minneapolis hovered around 99.0% white." -

Some companies are very explicit about allowing people to work anywhere and paying them the same. As for the lunch conversations, these conversations happen in slack (which is lame, but that's what we use). Remote-first companies and teams are better about this, but we would have plenty of hipchat (remember them?) conversations at Nagios. The lunch room conversations feed the g… -

it's a shame that the picture at http://status.hackerposse.com/url/22155 make us look less diverse than we are. These guys aren't all from my team, but still; 11 whities out of a team of 14. No women. You would think a company that previously had a female CEO (now chair of board), and where my boss' boss is a female would be able to get 1 female speaker out of 17. What's reall… -

maybe if you don't do RC, but go straight from beta to release this makes more sense. I don't know the Apache way on that, or if the different projects are left to their own devices on that. -

I think a fair chunk of the audience will have had *some* exposure.
MongoDB would seem to be a good choice in this comparison talk. I'm not sure what else we support off the top of my head. I know we have talked about neo4j and Arrango. I'm almost certain we said no to Arrango. I think neo4j is still waiting to be onboarded, but I guess my talk could be part of the onboarding if that's the case. -

I get that it is FLOSS so normal marketing rules don't apply, but saying your beta software is the most stable software you have ever produced is kinda yikes:

This doesn't seem like it would be a super-hard bug to fix. Perhaps I will give it a go once I am comfortable with Kafka and Cassandra. Sadly, I don't anticipate that being super-soon. -

oh, word on the street is we are looking for our first European employee.
The company has several European offices, just no one from my team.
Job is remote, as in, no one on my team ever works from an office. -

well, essentially Uyuni and Foreman are competitors. The answer to your question *is* my talk. Spacewalk is the ancestor of both Uyuni and Foreman. Katello is a (particularly important) foreman plugin. Now, as for the Camel K talk, neither my co-presenter nor I came up with the talk initially, so it's in large part not "our" talk, even though we created everything except the ab… -
