I'm not sure if they are trying to test a DDoS or what, but the test seems to reliably fail around the 30 hour mark. Now, I haven't seen anything from the actual test. I think there is probably a security or application team involved and I am working with the systems team. In any case, Infinispan is known to not survive gc because as a cache,… -

Whitfield I should have specified, a well-functioning java app. At some level, too many full gcs is going to be bad. I was trying to figure out that number. Suffice it to say, my research suggests that my customer is WAY over the limit. -

The UK’s B.1.1.7 variant (more transmissible; more severe) believed to be part of the reason ... but I’ve also seen articles where they say #MI residents have gone from 70% mask use to 30%. That’s likely also a part of it. -
Douglas A. Whitfield (musicman)'s status on Wednesday, 28-Apr-2021 15:53:37 EDT Douglas A. Whitfield I see some gc-related entries in a thread dump I was given. Is it possible to see how long a gc takes from a thread dump or do we need a heap dump for that? #java -

Douglas A. Whitfield (musicman)'s status on Tuesday, 27-Apr-2021 12:56:17 EDT Douglas A. Whitfield the problem with a lot of thread dump analyzers, such as Samurai is they take a really basic approach to analysis. basically, there is nothing about cpu usage because it is not "in the thread dump". I'm not 100% sure what they do as it isn't open source, but it seems http://status.hackerposse.com/url/23554 checks your thread dump against known issues that are not memory related… -
