   Headache moderated quite a bit after I drank a chilled coffee drink (Starbucks bottled something or other) and took an ibuprofen. I still need to go to bed soon, but at least I'm not near vomiting. (Given the rapid intensification, that was on the way.)

   There were three more after I posted. Found two of them because that fly kept coming back trying to land on (and bite? lay eggs on?) the caterpillars.
   
   A different kind of fly was buzzing around my shoe, so I stepped on it ... close enough to the anthill that the ants quickly came and gathered yet another meal.

    "Boomer plague" never did make sense. The most vulnerable group are mostly born before 1946 (that is, they are older than baby boomers, who were born 1946-1964).
    
    I don't know why people are so generation against generation anyway. There isn't some mental attitude that grabs people two decades at a time.

    NYC is an example of how it could have been nationwide, so I agree that US isn't doing as horribly as the news seems to suggest.
    
    Other than New York, the medical system has not collapsed, which has helped keep deaths lower (still 1/8 of a million, but the US has an estimated 330 million people in it, so 30-60 million was possible).
